There's time for everything.........

Throughout the year, we organise various activities that combine discussions, presentations with fun, sports, and leisure. These events help new people integrate into the company and stimulate cooperation among our consulting and support staff. Below you'll find examples of such activities, many of which have become treasured traditions.

Once every two years, we charter a flight for the whole office from Thursday to Saturday, to some relaxing, sunny destination. Marrakesh has become a legend here at BCG as people who attended still lose themselves in the memory of exploring the local markets, treasure hunts in open top jeeps, rock climbing, balloon rides at dawn, enjoying a traditional evening held at the fort where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Last year we went to Madeira where we sampled Madeira wine, took part in outdoor pursuits which ranged from kayaking to mountain biking to gorge walking and enjoyed the fantastic scenery.  It was an exceptional bonding experience with stories that will be passed down for many years to come.

Every year, the office takes a break from the usual daily activities to spend a day together in our legendary bonding and training event.  This 'Offsite Day', as it is known, takes place at an exciting central London venue, with events ranging from sharing of Global and London strategic plans and current initiatives to bonding events such as scavenger hunts and film making. The climax of the day is the much acclaimed BCG Drama group, where local BCG thespians take to the stage.

The Christmas party is our biggest event which allows BCG staff and their partners and friends to get together to celebrate the successes of the year. We have a BCG committee dedicated to making this event bigger and better than the previous years, which is a quite a challenge. The annual event centres around a different theme each year, such as the roaring 20s, Moulin Rouge and Superheroes and Villains.

On the first Friday of every month, we have a company meeting presented by the head of the office. We then have lunch together where we catch up with our colleagues on a more social level. Weather permitting, we have been known to hold the lunches in nearby Green Park - a 2 minute walk from the office. We also hold informal lunches every other Friday.  Additionally on the last Friday evening of each month we host office drinks in a nearby pub.  Once again this is a chance to catch up with colleagues and relax.

Each year, London participates in a football and volleyball tournament with other BCG European offices.  The local BCG teams practice weekly in our neighbouringGreen Park in the run up to the event. In June, the various BCG teams congregate at the chosen European destination, such as Athens and Madrid, to compete for the title of BCG Football and Volleyball Champions.
