Meet Summer Consultants

Robert
Great people, great projects, great location.
Robert
Summer Consultant, London
A Personal Story
Great people, great projects, great location. Through working on cases, I learnt that clients really value what BCG has to say and how heavily BCG influences important client decisions. My tips for the summer would be: Don’t miss the socials, never be too shy to email somebody in the BCG network and ask for help – You’ll be surprised how willing people are to share their knowledge- no matter if you are an intern or full time.
Background
Robert holds a MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and Technische Universität Mǜnchen. Robert also holds an MBA from LBS. Robert joined BCG in 2008 as a Consultant following a summer internship with us. Before completing his MBA Robert worked within BMW as a Project Manager.
Paul
I learned a great deal over a short period.
Paul
Summer Consultant, London
A Personal Story
I learned a great deal over a short period, working with a manager who was quick to praise good work and equally quick to give feedback on where I needed to improve and how to do so. My tips would be to use the summer to get a real feel for consulting, BCG and life in the office you are in; BCG has a fun culture which really encourages you to get involved and fully benefit from social events and conversations with other consultants outside of work.
Background
Paul holds a degree in Economics and Politics from University of Bristol and an MBA from INSEAD. Following a summer internship with us in 2007, Paul joined us directly from his MBA as a Consultant in 2008. Before his MBA Paul worked in the Strategy Department of the BBC.
Phaedra
From the first day on my case I was treated as a full-time member of the team.
Phaedra
Summer Consultant
A Personal Story
From the first day on my case I was treated as a full-time member of the team. I was entrusted with a great deal of responsibility, which was complemented by team support and thoughtful feedback. I gained valuable exposure to BCG’s approach and learned to structure strategic imperatives. The people in the London office supported me, challenged me and made me laugh for the 12 weeks that I was part of their team.
Background
Phaedra holds a BA in Economics and Sociology from Georgetown University, an MA in Development Studies from London School of Economics and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Phaedra completed a summer internship in 2007 and joined BCG as a Consultant directly from her MBA in 2008. Prior to completing her MBA Phaedra worked with The World Bank.
