The best development support you receive as a consultant is definitely on the job with your project team, i.e. the Partners, Principals, Project Leaders and other Consultants. On my first case, I was always asking my project team and my office-mates the most basic questions – from where could I find market data to where was the coffee machine on this floor? No matter what I asked, they were always more than happy to answer, point me in the right direction and show me better ways of doing things. You get informal and formal feedback from the Principal or Project Leader during and at the end of the case, and you are also asked to give feedback to them in order to help them develop too.
