Many Project Leaders are promoted to their role from a Consultant position, whilst others may join as an industry/experienced hire with significant leadership experience.
Project Leaders build leadership skills by taking ownership of project management. You will motivate and guide the work of your team. You will coach the team members and help them grow. You will also start to play a larger role in building the firm by participating in recruiting campaigns, contributing to training programs, and writing for internal and external audiences.
Your Challenge
You will serve not only as a consultant but also as the project manager and team leader. You will learn to keep one eye on the big picture and the other on the details. You will provide intellectual leadership for the team and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget. You will harness the team's diversity to ensure the development of creative solutions to complex problems. You will give your team members formal and informal feedback and encourage them as they continue to develop their skills. Your role as advisor will support their professional growth.

As a Project Leader, you will make sure that your team makes a real difference to the client. You will be managing the client relationship so that the team meets or exceeds the client's expectations for working together to resolve critical business issues.
