Your proven consulting track record and project management skills will serve you well as you begin managing multiple client relationships. You will also play an essential role in developing business opportunities for BCG. As a Principal, you will have a growing role in the management of the firm, and you will link the firm’s work across client projects to its broader business and strategic vision.
Your Challenge
You will take creative risks to deliver innovative solutions to your clients, contributing to BCG’s intellectual capital and building a relationship of trust with the clients. Clients will start to seek your advice on business issues that extend beyond the immediate scope of your project work. When this happens, you will know that you have built a lasting client relationship. At times, you will have two or more teams reporting to you, each of them with its own Project Leader. You will learn that you need to delegate and trust others. You need to bring out the best of your team members and some of the clients you interact with. You will learn to distinguish between what is ideal and what is realistic in a given set of circumstances.
Your Impact
You will play a significant role in defining your clients’ strategic agenda. The client looks to you for advice and leadership on key issues. Your team members look to you for guidance. Your bond with your team and your clients will go beyond projects or simple tasks. Within BCG, you will share key business insights to foster innovation, develop the firm’s business capabilities, and build the portfolio of business.
